vic sent me the music when i was in iceland (he composed it), just after i'd read "into the wild" (about a guy who rejected the societal happiness formula in favor of a hardcore relationship with nature, to see if he could find an alternative there). i was alone in reykjavik, in the very cold (the sun was up for only 6 hours per day), thinking about what happiness really is. for me it usually involves stripping away something and seeing what's underneath. the song is about a girl at a wild party, where everyone is laughing and smiling and drunk, and she's playing along, but she's thinking about alternatives. there must be something...
